MINOR OPERATIONS (Cricklade only)
These are carried out by prior appointment, booked by the GP on Thursday afternoons. He is assisted by either the health care assistant or a practice nurse.
If you have a wound (non-emergency) and would like advice or to have it dressed, please make an appointment. Simply inform the receptionist of the nature of your problem and an appointment can be made with one of our practice nurses.
WELL WOMAN CHECKS
The practice nurse holds these appointments. This includes family planning (including contraceptive injections), cervical screening and gynaecology. You may see the doctor for these upon request (cervical screening is only carried out by the nurse).
CHILD HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT (Cricklade only)
This clinic is held on Thursday mornings. It includes child health medicals and immunisations with the practice nurse and GP. For details, please speak to reception.
CHRONIC DISEASE MANAGEMENT
Our practice nurses monitor patients with Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Hypertension, Hyperthyroidism, Dietary Problems to name but a few. You may be asked to attend the surgery for a review.
We are no longer providing a travel advice service at Cricklade Surgery.

We will continue to provide vaccinations for Hepatitis A and Typhoid at Cricklade Surgery, please make an appointment with our Practice Nurse for these.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
