Hello and welcome to our website. We’ve packed it full of useful information in a very easy to use format with the added benefit of several online functions. If you’re new to the area, have a look at our opening times, download a registration form and come and see us.
The new Friends and Family test is available for completion online, as well as in the surgery. We would value your comments and any feedback to enable us to look at ways we may be able to improve our service. Please see the link under ' Have your say'.
Please see the Quick Link to Online Services for information on what is available for patients.
Notice to Patients
Dr de Silva is due to have further knee surgery on the 12th September and will be away from the surgery for approximately 7 weeks. Our regular GP Dr Hugh Thomas together with locum GPs will be covering the clinics here at Cricklade during Dr de Silva's absence. Unfortunately there will be disruption to clinics at our Ashton Keynes branch surgery. There are notices at our branch surgery, or alternatively you can find the information on our website or ask Reception for details. Please be aware that there may be a slightly longer waiting period to see a doctor during this time and we appreciate your understanding.
We are offering shingles vaccinations to any patient in their 70's who was born after 1 September 1942. You will only have this vaccine once, you do not need to be re-vaccinated every year. Please contact Reception on 01793 750645 to book your appointment.
The ratings of GP Surgeries have been revealed with the publication of the annual GP Patient Survey. The survey ranks practices across the country based on answers to a range of questions about patient's satisfaction of their experiences.
We are delighted that in North Wiltshire, the overall top scoring GP practice was Cricklade Surgery who scored highly on patients who said their appointment was convenient (97 per cent) and patients' trust and confidence in their GP (99 per cent). However we are disappointed that the surgery's performance was low on the percentage of patients who said they don't normally have to wait too long (25 per cent).
Although as a single handed GP surgery, where the GP is seeing routine patients as well as being the duty doctor dealing with urgent matters, this can often make clinics run late, we wish to reassure patients that we are consistently striving to try and reduce waiting times in the surgery.
We are very pleased to be able to share with you that Cricklade Surgery has just received confirmation that we have been awarded a Gold Plus Carers Award for 2017. Congratulations to all of those who work so hard to provide the advice and support to our carers.
